Cayman Islands Data Protection Act, 2017 (DPA)
Who we are
Uneek Construction ("we", "us") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We are based at Mahogany Way, Prospect, PO Box 1108 SAV, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. You can contact us about privacy matters at info@uneekgroup.ky.
What we collect
When you use our quote form we collect the name, email address, optional phone number, project type, and project details you provide, together with the date and time of submission and your consent choice. We do not collect special category data, and we ask that you do not include sensitive information in your message.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use your details only to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and discuss your project. Our lawful bases under the DPA are your explicit consent (given via the unticked consent checkbox on the form) and the need to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.
Who we share data with
We share personal data only with service providers acting as processors on our instructions: our website hosting provider, and our backend database provider (Supabase) which stores form submissions. These providers may process data outside the Cayman Islands; where that happens we rely on contractual safeguards. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
Enquiry records are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless the enquiry becomes a project — in which case related records are retained for as long as required for contractual, insurance, and legal purposes.
Your rights under the DPA
You have the right to be informed about how your data is used, to access a copy of your data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to require that we stop processing (including for direct marketing), to have data erased in certain circumstances, and to complain. To exercise any right, email info@uneekgroup.ky.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS, form inputs are validated and sanitised, and stored submissions are protected by row-level access rules so they cannot be read publicly. Access is limited to team members who need it.
Oversight and complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal data, you can complain to the Office of the Ombudsman of the Cayman Islands, which oversees data protection under the DPA.
